About 2

Dies ist "About 1" - ins Englische übertragen.

I am Stefan. My life began on December 7th, 1956 in Hanover as the son of the paralyzed and wheelchair-bound Hellmuth Siegmund-Schultze and his wife Elisabeth Siegmund-Schultze. I grew up in Hannover-Kleefeld in a loving Christian family. I went to a classical school in Hanover Zoo. Means I had Latin (Latin proficiency certificate) and Greek, but English in the third place.

I have been protected by God throughout my life.

Around October 1972, when I was almost 16 years old, I went to a Bible study in the “YMCA” (in the then “Christian Association of Young Men”). There I converted to Jesus, a decision that I never regretted and that would shape my entire life. It was my most important life decision.

My parents encouraged us to go to church: The Baptists in Hanover laid in me a good foundation of Christian faith from 1973 to 1976.

From 1974 to 1976, I discovered the good charismatic movement which first began in Braunschweig and then came to Hanover.

During this awakening phase, there were American guest preachers in Hanover and Braunschweig; Steve Lightle, for example. And one day in the winter of 1975/76 Arthur Katz was there. At the time I thought of being baptized (“baptism of faith”). Dear Arthur Katz was a Jew and often baptized Jewish Christians or Messianic Jews who did not want to be baptized into a Christian church. That is why he often baptized in private bathtubs somewhere. So Arthur Katz first tried to baptize some of those willing to be baptized in Braunschweig, but it did not come to pass. I remember it was January 3rd, 1976. So we tried again on January 4th - and now with more success! This special baptism took place this Sunday (January 4, 1976) at the Klügels in Hanover. I was able to be baptized in a bathtub with a few other people. Much later - around 1981/82 - I went to the Baptist congregation in Hanover.
